It grows near the root system of spruce, but also along beech, oak, chestnut, lime trees.

The shape of this mushroom is very characteristic, perhaps similar to that of a champagne cork. One of the most striking features of this mushroom is the color of its hat, which is a dark brown color, with the border clearly lighter than the rest. It has also an initially white coloration, which gradually acquires a darker appearance. The Boletus hat reaches up to 25 cm in diameter and has a pale to dark brown color depending on lighting conditions and location.

Due to its soft nutty taste and its subtle fragrance, Boletus Edulis is one of the most appreciated mushrooms in the world. The flesh of this mushroom is white and compact and has a well defined flavor: sweet as the hazelnut.
